

(Note: I also had HR update all of the employee's fields that were being used so when it ran it would grab all of their updated and correct info, Title, Department, Phone Number.etc.)

I modified one of the signature scripts used for generating signatures from the user's Active Directory information. I wanted a standardized signature to present a professional look and feel to our emails (no more purple comic sans signatures, or signatures with cheesy quotes) and to have everyone at our company present a consistent image. I set it up at a previous employer the following way. Plus users won't get thrown off by the attachment icon on an email with an embedded image when there is no noticeable attachment. If you're going to use images in a signature I would recommend linking to the images via HTML, your mail server and recipients' mail server will thank you.
